Colombia Avelino Mena - Washed extended ferment
Avelino's farm "El Guadual" is located in Santuario, Risaralda in a local area called La Linda. The farm is 1.5 hectares in size, sitting at around 1750 MASL. Growing Caturra, Colombia and Castillo Naranjal, Avelino processes his coffee using an extended ferment washed process - fermenting his coffee for 90 to 100 hours before sun drying for 15 to 18 days.
Avelino has worked with coffee since the age of 10, and his goal is to improve the quality of his coffee so he can achieve better prices and also the satisfaction of producing a coffee recognised worldwide for its high quality.
